Donation Guidelines
We accept a variety of literary work by Asian & Pacific Islander writers, scholars and artists. Literary works can include (but not limited to)
- Books
- Zines
- Scholarly work
- Essays
- Literature
- Magazines
- Articles
Donated items must be written or created by writers, scholars, and artists who identify as Asian, Pacific Islander, and/or South Asian, including mixed race & adoptees. Exceptions are made if the literary work has a strong social justice theme in regards to the API Community.
Donations can be left at the bottom shelf of the bookstore or mailed. To mail your donation, please contact us via email for a shipping address: [email protected]
We also accept monetary donations. If you’re interested in making a monetary donation please contact us. 🙂

The API Flying Bookshelf is a traveling bookshelf celebrating and promoting the works of Asian & Pacific Islander writers, artists, & scholars. The bookshelf is traveling and will live in different cafes throughout Seattle starting July 1st, 2014.
